- Description
- There is an opinion that racism in Australia bypasses sporting champions of Aboriginal descent; that success in sport as Colin Tatz puts it is both an 'avenue of social mobility', a road out of discrimination and a pathway to equality. But is this so on the local scene or in a particular region? This question is examined through the prism of the life and times of William James Ridgeway, a legendary cricketer of the Karuah Aboriginal Reserve - known commonly as the Mission, and to local Aboriginal community as the 'Mish'.
