- Description
- Attempts were made to scientifically test traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the West. These have largely consisted of randomized control trials (RCT's). The aim of this paper is to articulate the dynamical perspective of TCM using a Western scientific framework, namely nonlinear dynamic systems theory. we suggest this framework will provide the necessary theoretical tools to design trials that are appropriate to evaluate TCM and provide research results acceptable to the West.
