- Description
- Tube chain conveyors are used exclusively for the transport of bulk solids and belong to the continuous mechanical conveyor group. These conveyors are used throughout industry with transport rates up to medium volumetric flows (60m³/h). Conveyor speeds of vk=0.01...0.4m/s are typical. The conveyor technology was based on the "damming up disk" principle. Transportation disks are fixed on a round steel chain which circulate axial through a tube. Bulk solids can be filled via an inlet and are conveyed to the outlet by the transportation disks in the direction of the chain movement.
