- The overall aim of the Thesis is to better understand lung function and its predictors in childhood. The thesis was divided in three main aims: 1. To determine the association between asthma in pregnancy and lung function parameters in infants at 6 weeks of age; 2. To investigate the relationship between T2-high immune response biomarkers in cord blood and lung function parameters of infants born to asthmatic mothers; 3. To describe nurse-led management and lung function parameters of children with severe uncontrolled asthma.
