- Description
- Alice Walker's tale, To Hell With Dying, describes the vital ties between young and old while subtly reflecting on the journey of life and the lifelong pursuit to live well and long. She encourages readers of her story to start from the beginning and honor the process, albeit with warnings about excesses. Writing a compelling tale about process is a difficult task, yet Diana Kuh and colleagues have very admirably done just this in "A Life Course Approach to Healthy Ageing" using life course epidemiology as the unifying process for an interdisciplinary investigation of available research. Time is an important element of this book on many levels and essential to fully articulate the story of aging.
