- Description
- There is no doubt that ecological justice is firmly on the social work agenda and it is fitting that our opening chapter by Fred Besthorn foregrounded the urgency of social work’s environmental responsibilities. But as we ponder the implications of the ‘new paradigm’ advocated in the preceding chapters, it might be helpful to begin this concluding chapter with an overview of the ‘old paradigm’ which is being extended and transformed, namely, the ecosystems perspective as it has developed in social work.
