- Description
- This paper studies the problem of channel estimation for the downlink in broadband LTE communications. A Kalman Filter is used to combine channel soundings made with pilot tones that are deployed at different times and in different frequency bands on a pre-selected pattern. This Kalman filter is presented in a form directly suitable for implementation as a periodically time varying filter, in the case where periodic pilot tone data is available. Simulation results illustrate the efficacy of this approach.
