- Australia currently lags behind telework adoption with a rate of 6% (CBRDAE, 2012), compared to other prominent countries ranging 10 - 15% (Moore, Rhodes, & Stanley, 2011). Viewing the issue of attracting potential teleworking applicants to a job offer, using a marketing lens, established the concept of a job value proposition. The selected target market is Generation Y, considered technological natives and are also the largest generation to enter the workforce since the Baby Boomers (Hutchinson, Brown, & Longworth, 2012). In order to measure their attitude towards the job value proposition and their likelihood to apply prominent personal characteristics and values of Generation Y in the literature was examined.
