- Description
- Social work sits in a small corner of a larger world stage which, given the current global financial crisis, appears to have reached a critical point in its development. How should social work orientate itself and what positive mandate can it take up in this context? It would be facile to write a chapter on critical social work without some reference to the global upheavals presently confronting us in a most dramatic way. In this chapter, we seek to make a distinctive case for Critical Social Work as an approach that confronts and seeks to change relations of domination and oppression in society.
