- The chapter, like the rest of the book, has been written collaboratively, but the contributions, at least in part, were more haphazard, with an open invitation to all authors to contribute, via a collaborative writing tool. In some cases, co-authors are quoted directly, in order to indicate the context within which a contribution has been made, especially where a discussion section from the online document has been tied together through the editorial process. Other sections have been collaboratively authored and are presented as such. By way of structure, this chapter will look at the challenges raised throughout the book in turn, including the power relationships inherent in staff-student collaborations, and resulting issues around exploitation; the benefits of working in partnership, and challenges caused by student (and in some cases, staff) transience. The chapter finishes on considerations relating to the creation of a space - whether intellectual or literal - for staff-student partnerships to prosper.
