- Description
- Occupation analysis in the occupational rehabilitation arena requires an understanding of work and the importance of this for individuals in society. The aim of occupation analysis in occupational rehabilitation is to 'match' the demands of the job and workplace with the capacity of the worker, thereby highlighting interventions that will enable safe and durable work. The occupational rehabilitation practitioner considers a wide range of factors as part of ergonomic assessment, during an occupation analysis: activity analysis, task analysis and functional capacity evaluation (FCE). This chapter considers these in relation to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health or ICF (WHO, 2001).
