- Description
- Feng Shui is a traditional Chinese wisdom which aimed at creating a harmony between environment, buildings and people. With a desire to improve the relationship between human and the environment, there is an increasing interest for architects and other building professionals to apply the concepts of Feng Shui in building design and the built environment. While Feng Shui has been practiced in China for more than three thousand years, little research has been done to capture the Feng Shui knowledge in a systematic manner. Knowledge-based expert systems (KBES) approach is one of the artificial intelligent techniques possessing a high potential to deal with intuitive expertise which is appropriate to structure and represent the Feng Shui knowledge. This paper outlines the design and development process of a prototype model of Feng Shui knowledge using knowledge-based expert systems approach.
